The point with this smartphone it’s the depth map camera technology, wich allows to capture more than a 3D photo. This technology was created by Google’s .JPG depth map format. Depth information is encoded on a standard .jpg totally compatible with any program or device. So anybody can see the image (without seeing the depth of images). Actually there are ways to see depth on images even on 2d screens. Like on depthy.me website or on any Android smartphone tilting the device using Seene.apk app (it was purchased by Snapchat and today you can only download on services like apkmirror).

Depth Map is the future of 3D, on photo and video, it allows to see things from different angles like a hologram. Depth Maps will be used on HoloLens (and the next Windows 10 update), Magic Leap , VR headsets and Ultra-D TVs (real 3D 4K glasses free TVs that you can look from different angles and perceive objects like being really there).

Global distribution is expected. Anyway you can find it on Aliexpress for 350$ (be sure seller doesn’t install any custom ROMs as it will doesn’t make profit of camera or 3D screen). We are already using this device and we will publish soon a review and a few easy steps to change language and install Google Play.
